Orthognathic surgery typically takes a few hours. Once surgery is complete, you will have up to a two-week rest period. You’ll be given comprehensive care instructions for how to care for your oral health during the recovery period, as well as how to maintain a proper diet and general health, for optimal recovery. We’ll also schedule you for follow-ups, to ensure everything is healing up properly.
